My latest project is a memory quilt dedicated to my mom who passed away this year. She loved the color orange and would wear it regularly with a navy blazer over top. She collected southwestern jewelry with turquoise or lapis stones. She loved polka dots and had an unforgettable sense of fashion. My favorite “mom” story involved a trip to the bakery where she ordered a buzzen dutter rolls. The baker, knowing that she meant a dozen butter rolls, sent her home with a baker’s dozen and a story that brought much laughter over the years. Love and miss you, Mom.
